Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, has appointed Hon. Prince Humphrey Onyima as Special Adviser on Investment Strategy and Public Relations, in a fresh move aimed at strengthening his administration’s investment drive, strategic engagement and public communication.
Prince Onyima is among 23 new Special Advisers and Senior Special Assistants appointed by Governor Mbah to serve in various strategic capacities within the Enugu State Government.
His appointment places him in a portfolio that combines two critical areas of the administration’s development agenda — investment strategy and public relations — with responsibilities that are expected to include supporting investment-focused initiatives, strengthening stakeholder engagement and enhancing the government’s communication and relationship with key publics.
The appointment is particularly significant at a time when the Mbah administration is intensifying efforts to position Enugu as a more attractive destination for investment, business and economic opportunities.
Prince Onyima, who is from Awgu Local Government Area, joins a new team of political appointees drawn from different parts of the state and assigned portfolios spanning agriculture, infrastructure, rural development, tourism, public communication, policy, research, social mobilisation, human resource management and other areas of governance.
The appointment was contained in a Public Service Announcement issued by the Office of the Secretary to the Enugu State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.
According to the announcement, all 23 appointments take effect immediately.
With his new mandate, Prince Onyima is expected to contribute to the administration’s broader efforts to deepen investment opportunities in Enugu while strengthening strategic public relations and stakeholder partnerships.
His appointment has also been received as a recognition of his capacity to operate within the strategic intersection of investment, relationship-building and public engagement.
