~ TIMELY NECESSITY IN MOVING OUR DEAR STATE TO THE NEXT LEVEL
On Wednesday the 9th of November 2022, *ENUGU CONCERNED CITIZENS INITIATIVE (ECCI) FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE* arising from their inaugural outing, endorsed the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic (PDP) *Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mba* and his running mate *Barr Ifeanyi Ossai* for the 2023 General elections in the state.
Buoyed by the ambitious economic vision of Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mba for the State if he is elected as Enugu State Executive Governor come 2023, the Director General of *ECCI*, Hon Arthur Ifeanyichukwu Edeh noted that when the primary purpose of Governance is the Security, Healthcare, Education etc and other Social Welfare services for the Citizens, having studied and identified numerous good take home points in the prosperity and economic vision of the PDP candidate for Enugu State, it then behoves on the *Concerned Citizens* to rise and throw their weight behind the efforts to enthrone that very leadership with such a disposition which is in line with the biblical dictum which emphasised that *when the righteous is in power, the people rejoice*
The DG *Hon. Arthur Edeh* further charged the members to go all out and ensure that Dr. Peter Mbah’s achievements and candidacy is amplified and marketed down to the people in the rural areas.
Dr Mba during his speech at the occasion appreciated the resolve of the Concerned Citizens for studying his manifesto and consequently resolving to throw their unalloyed support behind him by working to ensure that the vision becomes a reality come 2023.
Enugu Concerned Citizens Initiative For Good Governance comprises of members from all walks of life in Enugu State who have come out to employ every known legal methods to advocate for the betterment of dear State.
The transformation of the States’ local economy from a mixed to a private sector driven economy and a careful perusal in the humble but tenacious background of Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mba aptly resonates with the yearnings and aspirations of Ndi-Enugu state at this critical stage of Nigeria’s statehood. This was evident in the opening prayer said by the Nsukka Local Government Area Coordinator Mr Omeje Earnest and the remarks of the ECCI state Woman Leader Mrs Agbo Lilian.
Notable dignitaries on Dr Peter Mba’s entourage included the Enugu State Peoples Democratic Party chairman, Chief Augustine Nnamani, Dr Kingsley Ebenyi (Former House Of Representatives Member) others are Chief Anayo Edeh, Barr Tahil Ochin, Deacon Okey Ogbodo, Lady Ugochi Madueke (MD Nike lake Hotel), Chief Johnny Ogbodo, the Executive Chairmen of Oji River local government area, Nkanu East and Ezeagu local government areas respectively.
