The world is divided into those who want to become something, and those who want to accomplish something.
Governor Ugwuanyi in all ramification belong to the second category, because it is as if he mused to himself; ” I’ll go the extra mile in my leadership outings, because there’s less competition there!”
Quiet, unassuming, this most influential Governor and Statesman whose altruistic leadership method came to the limelight in the year 2015, when he assumed office as elected Governor of Enugu State. Set out to serve his people and in doing so, portrayed a stubborn belief and faith in the Almighty – consequently placing Enugu State into the Hands of God.
This decision may have obviously been informed by the glaring fact that the contemporary states within Nigeria, from the past before the coming of Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, can no longer solve the problems of the present.
They can no longer ensure their own progress are confronted with the challenges on how to control their future.
And then the political space itself is only a stage on the way to the organised world of tomorrow.
To some pessimists or better still, detractors, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi seemed a dreamer or an optimist. He was neither portrayed as brilliant as his political career later demonstrated.
In his recent remark, the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike; Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is a good man, and one of the shining lights of the People’s Democratic Party in Nigeria”.
The Rivers State Governor went further to describe Ugwuanyi as a “humble, gentle and God fearing leader”, ” a very reliable brother and friend”
To cap it all, he told his audience; ” This man you are seeing here is not a noise maker, he does not shout like me, he is very humble.” He takes everything gently, he is a God fearing man and he knows what to do at any point in time”
In his final submission, he said; ” I don’t identify with those who do not mean well for their people”.
*This is a Governor who have never left the shores of this country to travel abroad since he assumed office till date.*
*OPM* believes that Gov. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike is not alone in his complimentary remarks about the Governor of Enugu State.
A renowned wealthy Northern based farmer who recently relocated most of his farming businesses to his community in Mbu, Isi-Uzo Loca Government Area of Enugu State, Alhaji Sani Friday Nnaji equally commended the people’s Governor. For promoting Peace, Unity and National integration among Nigerians resident in Enugu State and beyond, irrespective of religious and ethnic differences.
Alhaji Sani Friday Nnaji noted that, it is the Governor’s believe in the Almighty God and his perchance for peace and Unity which made him to gather everyone together.
The spiritual Director of Adoration Ministries Enugu, Nigeria. Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, during their last crusade for the year ended 2021, along with his teeming adorers cheered Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for his humility, commitment to God as well as his uncommon disposition to peace and good governance in the State.
The fiery preacher noted that the ministry enjoyed stable peace, love and dividends of good governance under the administration of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
Similarly, the Chief Executive Officer of Audi Company Limited commended the people’s Governor for his commitment and contributions in ensuring that businesses thrive and flourish in the State. This was during the unveiling of Audi Company and Partners South East Business Hub in Enugu. Noted that this is one of the numerous FDI progenies of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s investment promotion drive in Enugu State.
As for being a dreamer, his records have displayed a vast deployment of practical resources which he has continued to use in overcoming the resistance of critics.
Within interval of his years in office, the Governor has received tremendous encomiums from notable voices and leaders across board. These have distinguished him clearly as one of the purest modern, futuristic Nigerian and African Statesman at the moment.
ODENGENE PEOPLES MOVEMENT (OPM) sincerely believes in, and stands solidly behind Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi. This is because, there’s nothing that could not be achieved by those who are committed to a good cause, through the lucidity of their thinking, the ardor of their imagination and then the strength of their Will.
Obviously, time and God, above everything else is on the side of the people’s Governor and will remain so through out his lifetime.
Idealists sometimes when they look at Gov. Ugwuanyi’s method of institutionalized approach to leadership and comparing the words of the Swiss philosopher, Henri-Federic Amiel; “Only institutions grow wiser. Because they accumulate collective experience”, “A man’s impact on history dies with him but if such a man creates an institution, those institutional structures would shape ideas and improve lives even after he might have long gone.
This is what Ugwuanyi is doing in Enugu State of today.
Again, Quoting Amiel; “Men who is subject to the same rules will not see their own nature changing, but their behavior shall be gradually transformed”
Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State is one of the rare men who have transformed the nature of leadership and history of Enugu State and Indeed Nigerian politics.
Enugu State will continue to be in the Hands of God Almighty, even beyond 2023.
