GOV. UGWUANYI’S S.A ON STUDENT AFFAIRS FLAGS OFF CAMPUS TO CAMPUS CAMPAIGN AGAINST ELECTORAL VIOLENCE – By Christopher Ogugua

    Enugu State Government today been 11th December 2018 has commenced campus to campus campaign aimed at teaching youths to seize from electoral violence.

    The campaign tagged: “students: Asserts, Not Thugs,” was organized by the office of the Special Adviser to Enugu State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, on student affairs in collaboration with the National Association of Nigerian students (NANS).

    The campaign which was flagged off at about 11:20am by the Special Assistant on Students’ Affairs to the governor, Comrade Chidi Ilogebe, at the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) International Conference Centre, had in attendance, students and relevant stakeholders.

    It witnessed a lecture delivered by Igboke Onyebuchi, who encouraged students to desist from electoral thuggery, avoid voters’ apathy and to become law abiding as well as being participants in the electoral process especially through social media.

    The event first phase ended at about 4:30pm at the Peaceland College of Education, Enugu. The students however thanked and commended Enugu government on the initiative and promised to pass the message across to every nook and cranny of the state.
