OSG Calls for Peace, Cautions Desperate Politicians in Enugu Ahead of 2019 Guber- By Christopher Ogugua

As part of its efforts to ensure a free, fair and conclusive gubernatorial election in Enugu State in 2019, the Onyima Support Group (OSG) for Gburugburu has once again calls for peace, cautions desperate politicians in Enugu State ahead of the 2019 guber race.

OSG reinstates its commitment on the recently launched CCTV Camera Committee to record proceedings in the course of the elections, so as to ensure that all guber candidates have their votes counted and duly accounted for, to prevent any form of irregularity or any plans to thwart the mandate which the people of Enugu State hope to bestow on Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for a second term.

According to the group’s coordinators who converged on the ‘Coal City’ recently to inaugurate the ‘CCTV Camera Committee’, the committee would “monitor and record Ugwuanyi’s bloc of votes across the 17-LGAs of Enugu State during the 2019 guber race”.

The group said, the essence of the committee, is “to record the uncommon victory that will ever happen in the history of gubernatorial election in the state.”

Also, the group was mandated to monitor and report to the police the activities of some unscrupulous elements that go around destroying the billboards of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu.

“We have watched with keen interest the recent campaign of intimidation and outright threat to the existing peace in Enugu State and we have resolved to embark on mass sensitization campaign on non-violence participation in the forthcoming guber election in collaboration with relevant authorities to promote peace as the ultimate currency for socio-political engagement without which no meaningful development can take place,” the convener, Humphrey Onyima, said.

Onyima equally used the medium to notify desperate Sen. Ayogu Eze, the Enugu State factional guber candidate of the All Progressives Congress for 2019 whose candidature was recently nullified by court and “his imperialist” backer, whose ultimate plan is to turn Enugu into his business empire, to get ready for the looming defeat that will send them back to their usual political Golgotha.”

Onyima assured the duo and their cohorts that “no amount of noise-making or arrogant display of ill-gotten wealth can distract the good people of Enugu state from resisting emperors and wolves in sheep clothing who go around Enugu State masquerading as demi-gods”.

He warned the good people of Enugu to “beware of political jobbers who come like messiahs, claiming to fight for the people but enrich themselves with the struggle. We have one in Awgu who claims to ‘Save Awgu’ but has no single factory in Awgu, while we have the Innoson Motors, Rev. Kevin Eze’s De-World University Mgbowo under construction, as well as Rev. Father Mbaka’s Aqua Rapha Water & Yoghurt, providing job opportunities here and there.

“Beware of political contractors who fly aircraft (very laughable) for a 10km road distance just to create atmosphere of public disturbance and unnecessary panic, while we are not in a creek. Beware of destiny killers, they come  in the name of freedom fighters but are tyrants, despots and totalitarians in disguise” he added.

Onyima assured the good people of Enugu State that Ugwuanyi will win 99.9% of the total votes to be cast across the 2,958 polling units come Saturday 9th of March, 2019, owing to his uncommon leadership style, unmistakably admitted even by the members of the opposition parties.
