Dear Bayo Onanuga, The Presidential Spokesman of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Before I Will Go Further to Reply Your Recalcitrant and Unguarded Threat targeted at Peter Obi, Let me first of All Open the Bible and then Read from the Acts of the Apostles Chapter 12 verse number 1 to 3, [1] “Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church. [2] And he killed James the brother of John with the sword. [3] And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also.”

So, from the above Bible Records, after Emperor Herod executed Apostle James and noticed it pleased the Jews and there was no outcry or resistance from the Church, he proceeded to arrest Peter, with the plan to eliminate Apostle Peter also. But fortunately the Church was very vigilant, sensitive and stopped Herod’s evil plot against the Christian Faith, by the help of God.

It is very unfortunate and quite chauvinistic that a presidential spokesman will condescend to the level of issuing direct life threatening utterances on the opposition Presidential Aspirant, saying, “We shall never forget and forgive Peter Obi for supporting a foreign invasion of Nigeria .” But Bayo Onanuga can forgive and forget the foreign terrorists bandits who have already invaded our communities and is on a slaughtering spree of innocent Nigerian citizens in thousands and displacing them out from their ancestral lands?

Bayo Onanuga, you will not forgive Peter Obi for backing Trump’s military Action in Nigeria, to Rescue Nigerians from the hands of terrorists bandits, but Onanuga can forgive and rehabilitate the killers of Brigadier General Uba and three of his men who were abducted and publicly executed by Islamist terrorists in Bornu state recently and many more of such gory accounts?

Bayo Onanuga, you will never forget or forgive Peter Obi for urging the Federal Government of Nigeria to accept the foreign military assistance coming from President Donald Trump but you will forgive and forget the abductors of the 64 civilians, including women and children, abducted in Tsafe LGA Zamfara state by Islamist terrorists who have rendered their victims fatherless, motherless, widows, widowers and displaced persons in their ancestral places?

Onanuga, you will not forgive Peter Obi for acknowledging on the global stage that Nigerian Government needs Foreign Military Intervention to end the incessant killings in Nigeria but you can forgive those who masterminded the abduction of 25 female students and their Principal from a school in Maga, Kebbi state by Islamist terrorists whilst their Vice Principal was killed.

The criminals responsible for over 38 worshippers abducted from a Church in Eruku, Kwara state can be forgiven by almighty Bayo Onanuga but Peter Obi can never be forgiven for calling on the foreign powers to intervene for the safety of Nigerian citizens.

Just few days ago, policemen were killed in an attack by Islamist terrorists in Geidam,
8 members of the Civilian Task Force killed and three abducted by Islamist terrorists in Gwoza, Borno state.

15 people abducted, including 4 nursing mothers and babies, and two killed in Sabon Birni, Sokoto state by Islamist terrorists. Another set of rice farmers killed in an attack by Islamist terrorists in Edu, Kwara state.

52 students abducted in a Catholic school in Agwara, Niger state.

Fellow Nigerians, all these atrocities happened in Nigeria’s territories just within one week, yet Bayo Onanuga had the temerity, the effrontery, the excessive boldness and audacious disposition to issue life threatening utterances against Peter Obi, just because Obi in his recent speech backed Trump’s military action in Nigeria to end the atrocities of the terrorists and bandits terrorizing Nigerians.

Nigerians, Wake Up!

There’s an Igbo adage that says (Chi abọọla!) translated to mean, it’s daybreak!

But one thing Bayo Onanuga should know is this; after Emperor Herod succeeded in executing James and proceeded to arrest Peter, the Church rose in prayers and stopped Herod’s evil plot against the Christian Faith by the help of the Mighty Hands of God. And at last, King Herod perished!

May God save Nigeria!
