Former Senator Shehu Sani has joined other well-meaning Nigerians to applaud the findings of the Jim Obaze-led financial auditing and investigations of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) over the period when Godwin Emefiele was in charge.

Emefiele operated 593 illegal accounts in US, UK and China – Special Investigator

But the senator pointed out strange loopholes in the report.

The Mail reported that CBN private investigator has submitted to President Bola Tinubu a damning report that shows that the infamous maria redesign policy was a national scam.

The report completely exonerated former President Muhammad Buhari, added that Emefiele and Buhari’s nephew and aide, Sabui Tunde, operated the redesign policy with Buhari’s approval.

Taking to his X account, Shehu Sani questions why Obaze’s report conspicuously omitted names of all Emefiele accomplices.

“The CBN Private investigator did a good job so far. The only thing missing in the damning report circulating is the names of other collaborators or accomplices,” Shehu said.

@masudsuleiman01: “The former CBN governor shouldn’t be made a scapegoat; hence, other collaborators should be brought to book.”
