The estranged wife of the Ooni of Ife, Queen Silekunola Naomi Ogunwusi, has opened up on why it would be difficult for her to reconcile with the monarch.
She said she can’t return to the palace with the king now married to six other women.
According to her, she is soft and can’t survive amid “six mature and strong women.”
In a recent interview with Punch, the clergywoman described her experience at Ooni’s palace as “bittersweet”.
Asked whether there is a possibility of reconciling with Ooni, she said, “I am going to answer that question with a question. As I have been speaking to you for the past one hour, do I look like someone who can survive in the midst of six mature and strong women? No! She is but a soft, strong, gentle woman and I can’t be a square peg in a round hole.”
Queen Naomi, however, said she is elated to be the mother of the crown prince.
She described the birth of her son, Ademide as “a miracle”.
She said everything else can be taken from her but her position as the mother of the crown prince is unchangeable.
