The forum of SSA to the Governor of Enugu State at her maiden meeting today been 10th of March 2021 in Enugu unanimously passed vote of confidence on Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s administration, after nominating Hon. Chief Chinedu Mba (from Enugu East Senatorial Zone) as her Coordinator, Hon. Prince Humphrey Onyima (from Enugu West Senatorial Zone) as the Secretary and Hon. Ben Ugwoke (from Enugu North Senatorial Zone) as the Publicity Secretary, which was subsequently ratified and endorsed by the house.
In sincere appreciation of the leadership and governance milestones in Enugu State, especially at a time when the country faced numerous socio-economic and political challenges. Ranging from economic recession, Covid-19 pandemic, terrorism, Endsars protests and other sundry encumbrances.
Gov. Ugwuanyi’s leadership accomplishments in his Scorecard is quite understandably of a Pan-Africanist dimension, drawing wide commendations through out the entire country.
In such times when the country’s political landscape is full of upheavals, death and doom, Ugwuanyi’s triumph is glaringly, the one of a happy, happy break.
The leadership maestro of His Excellency was quite visible for all to see. Uninterrupted payment of workers salaries in the state on or before 23rd of every month, payments of 13th month salary and full implementation of 30,000 naira minimum wage in compliance with the consequential adjustments on the salary scale of workers in Enugu State.
His Excellency spearheaded the just concluded South East PDP Zonal elections and has showed political observers how possible it can be to conduct intra-party election that is devoid of rancur, thereby strengthening the apparatus of internal democracy.
Since Ugwuanyi became our Governor way back in 2015, he has built Bridges of Brotherhood across the various political divides in Enugu State and beyond.
Gburus of Africa! You have traded a lot for the sustainance of the good governance and peace which we are enjoying in Enugu State.
You have ably United Ndi-Enugu State around the common need to develop the State through rural access roads, revamping of decadent infrastructure and provision of reliefs to the poor, especially the rural dwellers. Through such schemes as the Enugu State SME center, The ENS-APPEALS WYEP etc.
You have pacified the Youth of Enugu State, living up to your campaign outings promises of Youth inclusion in the governance of the State. You allocated over 75percent of the tickets of the PDP in the February 29th 2020 Enugu State local Government elections to the Youths, besides other political appointments in your cabinet in fulfilment of your promise during the second inaugural speech, affirming that it’s Youth o’clock in Enugu State. Carefully and diligently imbibing the ‘not too young to run’ movement in Nigeria.
These have earned your Excellency more trust from the youth constituency, giving the young people in the State more confidence in the Ugwuanyi Administration and at the same time, putting down your legacy of a caring father and a man of peace.
Your recent emergence as the leader of the South East PDP is another giant Leadership milestone of which we are glad to witness and on which note we echo a thunderous congratulations to you Sir!
We hereby unanimously pass a vote of Confidence on your able Leadership based on your tested and proven political report card.
