It is interesting that Senator Chimaroke Nnaman, after wrecking so much damage to himself and his surrogate, Peter Mba, is realizing, through his recent press release, that a tradition exists in Enugu state whereby Ndi Enugu allow their incumbent governor to anoint his successor.
The question that has been agitating the mind of political observers who have been following the macabre endorsement dance of Mr. Peter Mba by Senator Chimaroke Nnamani is: has Chimaroke Nnamani eaten “the Shakespearen insane root that took his senses prisoner” when on 26th December, 2021, in the house of Dan Shere, former SSG in his government, he (Chimaroke Nnamani) presented Mr. Peter Mba of Nkanu East LGA and raised his hand, while announcing before the invited guests that, behold, he (Chimaroke Nnamani) was presenting to Ndi Enugu the next governor of Enugu State in the person of Mr. Peter Mba. Where were his senses when, in his Agbani country home, he told the leadership of Nkanu East LGA Consultative Forum that he has endorsed the next governor of Enugu state coming from Nkanu East LGA.
Sometime last year, an Enugu political pundit, Peter Edeoga, writing on Senator Chimaroke Nnamani said, “The magnamity of His Excellency Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, governor of Enugu state, in thrusting Senator Chimaroke Nnamani back to power, by facilitating his re-election to the Senate in 2019, has re-awoken his waning intoxication. Curiously, when a man is intoxicated by alcohol, he can recover, but when intoxicated by power, he seldom recovers. He is, now, so intoxicated that he is back to his old self, the old self of make-believe, of a great soul, and of vast views, beyond the comprehension of all the critical stakeholders in Enugu (State) that he can anoint Mr. Peter Mba as the next governor of Enugu state especially as he re-activated the rump of his Ebeano political structure”
foregoing extract is apt as it captures the power intoxication of Senator Chimaroke Nnamani as the extract is on all fours with the Chimaroke Nnamani of today. See what Senator Chimaroke Nnamani said, today, in his Facebook Wall in response to a comment: “Charlie Champagne I wonder how old you are. Between 1996 and late 1998, I went through CNC, UNCP and then DPN. DPN won about 4 seats in the House of Assembly then. I defeated Nduka Agu in the PDP primaries at Presidential Hotel. Chief Jim Nwobodo did not hand pick me as Governor neither did he annoint me. That has been a perennial false narrative. I never bothered to challenge…Those who claim credit are entitled to…I would not leave America and return for handout.

Chimaroke Nnamani is a pathological liar, some us were there from 1996 to 1999, as active participants and can recollect vividly how Jim annointed this ingrate who used to come to Nigeria with one thousand dollars thinking it was all he needed to run and win the governorship of Enugu state.
Ndi Enugu, in case you have forgotten, this is vintage Chimaroke Nnamani in his usual elements of obtuse arrogance, the power intoxication with which he ran the worst kind of administration in Enugu state from 1999 to 2007, the Enugu years of catastrophe. And, now, he wants to annoint Peter Mba of Nkanu East Local Government as the next governor of Enugu state. The veil on his pretended loyalty to governor Ugwuanyi in his recent press release, sooner than later, would fall apart.
