The National Coordinator, Initiative for Leadership Development and Change (ILDC), Chief Ugochukwu Nnam hailed the FCT Minister Chief Nyesom Wike on his efforts towards repositioning the Federal Capital Territory.
While commending the short, medium, and long term plans of Chief Wike to overhaul the FCT and reposition it among the best cities in the world, as the new minister said he will prioritize infrastructure development, improve security, restore Abuja mass transport system, improve revenue to provide more infrastructure, ensure proper waste management, among others.
Chief Nnam expressed optimism in the capacity of Engr. Dav Umahi, the Honorable Minister, Federal Ministry of Works, following his recent moves to begin the rehabilitation of the collapsed South East roads. As Minister of Works, Engr. David Umahi has commense tour of critical road projects in the south east with a visit to Enugu State, namely:
- Inspection of the Rehabilitation of Umama-Ndiagu-Agba-Umumbu Road Section II (Umuna-Ndiagu-Umunba/Nkwa-Ezeagu Express Obeleagu Section.
- Inspection of the Rehabilitation of Outstanding Section of Enugu-Onitsha Expressway in Anambra & Enugu States under the Road Infrastructure Tax Credit Scheme (RITCS).
- Inspection of the ongoing Rehabilitation of Old Enugu-Onitsha Road (Opi Junction-Ukehe Okpatu-Aboh Udi-Oji to Anambra Border)in Enugu State.
- Inspection of the ongoing Construction of Ugueme-Nenwenta-Mkwe-Ebere-Awgunta-Obeage-Nmaku Road in Enugu State.
- Inspection of the ongoing Rehabilitation of Ojo-Achieve-Mmaku-Awgu-Ndeabor Road with Spur in Enugu State.
The ILDC boss Chief Ugochukwu Nnam describes His Excellencies, Chief Nyesom Wike and Engr. David Umahi, the FCT Minister and Minister of the Federal Ministry of Works, respectively, as true agents of infrastructure and development, going by their legacy projects in their respective States, as immediate past Governors of Rivers and Ebonyi.
Chief Nnam congratulates President Tinubu on his first 100 Days in Office, commending Mr. President for the appointments of Wike and Umahi into the Federal Executive Council, and as a responsive government that would pay adequate attention to the plights and yearnings of the people in the area of infrastructures for national development.
