The appointment of three Deputy Comptrollers General (DCG) and three Assistant Comptrollers General (ACG) of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has received President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s approval.
According to TheNigerian, the new DCGs are A Hamisu, MBA Musa, and FO Okun. K Olumoh, AB Mohammed, and A Alajogun are the new ACGs.
Several NCS management members retired, which led to the appointments.
Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, the acting comptroller general of customs, welcomed the newly appointed officials and urged them to step up their efforts to ensure the service meets its goals of generating revenue, combating smuggling, and facilitating trade.
Adeniyi also expressed gratitude to the management’s retired members for their honourable service.
Following the appointment of Acting Comptroller General of Customs Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR on June 19, 2023, and the retirement of some management personnel in the Service, President Bola Ahmad Tinubu GCFR, who is also the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces Federal Republic of Nigeria, has approved the appointment of the following Deputy Comptroller Generals (DCGs) and Assistant Comptroller Generals (ACGs): DCG FO Okun.
The Acting Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR, congratulated the newly appointed Officers and charged them to double their efforts to ensure the Service achieves greater heights in its mandates of revenue generation, smuggling suppression, and trade facilitation. He did this while thanking the retired members of the management for their meritorious Service.
