“Dear Peter Obi, I sincerely thank you for the thoughtfulness in engaging “your supporters” and striving to maintain civility in the build up to the general election. However, herein lies the first problem – we are not your supporters! We are supporters of a better Nigeria, a better Nigeria in which amongst the persons aspiring, you appear the most suited for the role. (I chose not to use ‘candidate’ because most of these persons do not possess the bare minimum educational, mental, intergrous prerequisites).
You are a vessel, not the potter. The potter moulds the clay. You are popular with us because you resonate our yearnings. As you have mentioned previously, the youth (and Nigerians) have reason to be angry. Most of the conversations that must have triggered your apology were driven by hypocrisy; it angers us.”
It is the same hypocrisy that has brought us to, and kept us in this point as a nation. It is infectious, resistant and malignant. Combating hypocrisy requires a harsh approach.”
The enemies of Nigeria do not require fancy dresses! They do not require fancy manners or fancy apologies. Nigeria is not failing or unstructured, it was designed to benefit a few. Any attempt to reverse that pattern, is tantamount to war and no one goes to war wearing fancy dresses and curtseying to the enemy.”
If Nigeria’s people (and youth especially) are her greatest resource, sponsored social media accounts poisoning the minds of young people using appeals to ethnicity, religion, irredentism are all equivalent to sabotage against the Nigerian state. It is political cyber warfare.”
We the Nigerian people say NO! We will not sit back and watch a handful of sponsored elements attack our nation and future. We will match their hypocrisy with holy and furious anger.”
Nigeria must break out of the four-year cycle of near-sanity, and vote PROGRESS, vote LIGHT. Most of us are in our late 20s to early 30s, meaning another 8-year mistake would effectively create millions of fools at 40 while these old thieves die peaceful in their sleep, and their children and concubines live happily ever after! Never! I am angrier now!”
We will get our PVCs, we will talk to strangers, will break religious, ethnic and other sentimental barriers, campaign in the streets, offices, hospitals, markets, ATM queues, bars, churches, mosques, shrines, traffic, under the sun or in the rain.”
