The legendary ex-international footballer, Kanu Nwankwo OON is a former professional footballer who played as forward:
He played for the Nigerian national team, and also for Iwuanyanwu Nationale, Dutch side Ajax, Inter Milan of Italy, and English clubs Arsenal, West Bromwich Albion and Portsmouth.
He is regarded as one of the best players in African football history, he won;

He had to undergo heart surgery in November 1996, when he was diagnosed of a heart problem while playing active football after which he started the Kanu Heart Foundation where he helps those with heart related problems.
Over the years, he has spent over $4 million to save the lives of over 550 Nigerian children by funding their heart surgeries through the Kanu Heart Foundation.
