Prominent Nigerians are set to grace the 2024 edition of Northern Nigeria Peace Conference/Award Dinner Night with the theme, “Sustainable Peace, Security and Economic Growth in Northern Nigeria”.
Those expected at the event include, Niger State Governor, Umar Mohammed Bago, who will be honoured with the award of Northern Nigeria Governor of the year on peace and security, his Nasarawa state counterpart, Engr. Abdullahi Sule who will be honoured with induction of Fellowship award on leadership and several other state chief executives.
Others include, to be honoured include, the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, who will be honoured with Northern Nigeria Peace Builder of the Year On Security and leadership, Minister of State Defence, H.E. Dr, Bello Mohammed Matawalle (Barden kasar Hausa, Shatiman Daular Usmaniyya) who will bag the Northern Nigeria Award for Excellence in leadership and community development and Induction of Fellowship Award in Science and Leadership as well as the Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, Olusegun Dada who will be honoured with Northern Nigeria Youth Ambassador of the Year.
Others include to be honoured include, the Federal Commissioner of the National Commission for Refugees Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI) Hon. Tijani Aliyu Ahmed, the Majikiran Deddare and Jaman Matasan Arewa, Amb. Mailafia Yakubu Agabi fcna, who will bag the Northern Nigeria Award for excellence in youth empowerment and community development and the Founder/CEO Ragsetall, Zainab Lawal Gwamma who will be honoured with Northern Nigeria Award for peace and community.
Others who made the list of awardees include, Mandate Secretary (Commissioner), Area Council Services Secretariat, Hon. Bitrus Lawrence Garki who will bag Northern Nigeria Award for peace and community development, Gazzali Salisu Buhari who will be honoured with Northern Nigeria Youth Ambassador of the Year, as well as RT Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi, Member, Representing Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency, Plateau State, who will be honoured with Northern Nigeria Award for Excellence in Peace and Community Development.
The event will hold on Wednesday, March 6 at the Abuja Merit House Maitama Abuja and commencement time is 5pm.
The event is being organised by Peace Ambassador Agency and is aimed at honouring persons who have contributed to peace building in the northern region of the country.
The Project Director, Ambassador Kingsley Amafibe while congratulating the winners noted that the organization will be at forefront in recognizing those who have made significant contributions in raising the bar of peace and development in the north.
