The official launching of Kano State Investment Promotion Agency (KANINVEST) DG’s compendium of achievements in office (2015 – 2023) in Collaboration with Leadership Scorecard Magazine – Honouring Investments Stakeholders and Developments Partners in Kano State, held at the Coronation Hall, Government House, Kano, on Wednesday 10th of May, 2023.
The KanInvest and Diaspora Documents Presentation & Achievements Compendium by Hajiya Hama Ali Muhammad Aware was reviewed by Prof. Bala Ado, an erudite scholar on research and development.
Commentaries and goodwill messages was delivered by NEPAD representative – Hon. Princess Gloria Kobundu and other major investors present at the event.
The Royal Father of the Day, HRH, Aminu Bayaro said the royal prayers and blessings.
The official launching of the KanInvest DG’s Compendium of Achievements in Kano State was well attended by His Excellency Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, OFR, the Executive Governor of Kano State, ably represented by the Deputy Governor and Kano State APC Guber Candidate 2023, His Excellency, Nasir Gawuna, who was honoured at the event on behalf of Governor Ganduje as “Best Governor in Nigeria” (2015 – 2023) on Urban Development, Commerce and Industry.
Alhaji Umar Tofa, Chairman KanInvest was honoured as “Outstanding Statesman of the Federal Republic.”
Alhaji Aliko Dangote, the President Dangote Group was honoured as “The Private Sector Legend of Our Time”, ably represented by Alh. Rabiu A. Umar, the Group Commercial Officer of Dangote Group.

Director General KanInvest and Diaspora was honoured as “An Outstanding FDI Personality in Nigeria”.
Ricefields Agri Industries Nig Ltd, was honoured as “Outstanding Agribusiness Industry in Nigeria”, ably represented by Mr. Ritesh Agarwal – the company’s Head in Nigeria.
Al Hamsad Group of Industry, was honoured as “Outstanding Private Sector Pillar in Nigeria”.
The event was spiced by the presence of kororso dancers of Kano State.
The event was well attended by public officers and investments partners in Kano State.
According to Abdullahi Yusuf, the Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has launched a Compendium and Documents on the achievements of his administration in investment and other sectors of the economy in the last eight years.
Ganduje launched the materials at the Government House, Kano on Wednesday, at a ceremony graced by members of the business community, traditional rulers and the academia, among others.
The achievements were recorded by the Ganduje administration through the Kano State Investment Promotion Agency KanInvest And the Diaspora.
Launching the Compendium and the Documents, the Governor commended the Director-General of KanInvest,Hon.Hama Muhammad Ali Aware, for organizing the event, which he said represented a remarkable achievements of the agency under her watch.
Represented by his Deputy,Dr.Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, the Governor described the publication of the Compendium and other documents by the agency as a significant milestone which would enable it to discharge its functions effectively.
He said the books would also serve as veritable tools for successive managements to drive the goals of the agency to make Kano the prime investment destination.
Which he said was his administration’s goal and vision for establishing KanInvest in 2015.
In her remarks, the Director-General of KanInvest,Hon.Hama Ali Muhammad Aware,thanked Governor Ganduje for giving her the opportunity “to serve my dear state and to be part of the legacy of this great administration.”
She said this had given her the opportunity to contribute in transforming the economic landscape of the state by attracting new investments, sustaining current investments and most importantly, creating an enabling environment for investments to thrive with ease in the state.
In his remarks,the Royal Father of the Day, the Emir of Karaye,Alhaji Dr.Ibrahim Abubakar II,commended Governor Abdullahi Ganduje for ensuring peace and harmony in the state,which he said enabled the achievements recorded by his administration in the investment sector.
The Emir also congratulated the personalities that received various awards at the occasion, saying that they deserved the honour in view of their enormous contribution to the achievements in the investment sector in the state.
The awards were given to the important personalities for their immense contributin to the improvement of the investment landscape in the state, and they included Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Business Mogul,Aliko Dangote, the wife of the state Governor, Prof.Hafsat Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, and the Director-General of KanInvest and Diaspora,Hon.Hama Ali Muhammad Aware.
Other receipients were Sen.Barau Jibrin, the Senator representing Kano North in the National Assembly,and the Chairman of KanInvest, Alhaji Isyaku Umar Tofa.
