The Zamfara State Governor, Bello Mohammed Matawalle in his determination to tackle the insecurity in the state has flagged off the training of the newly recruited Community Protection Guards (CPG).
This is just as the Governor said that the State is now moving towards implementing new Security measures under his watch.
According to him, “only people with courage and bravery will offer to serve as guards of their communities, bravely standing up to face the brutal infamy of the bandits,”
He however disclosed that his administration has come up with additional measures for combating insurgency in the state.
Governor Matawalle while fagging off the training in Gusau on Sunday, noted that additional measures of combating insurgency among which is the recruitment of Community Protection Guards CPG in each of the 19 Emirate Councils of the state.
