GRASSROOT DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE (GDI) OKRIKA LGA CHAPTER STRATEGIZES ON ADVOCACY, PUBLIC ENLIGHTENMENT AND SENSITIZATION CAMPAIGN FOR PERMANENT VOTERS CARD (PVC).

The Grassroot Development Initiative (GDI) Okrika LGA chapter, today 15th July, 2022, held it’s strategic meeting at the council banquet hall to postulate on it’s advocacy, public enlightenment and sensitization campaign on Permanent Voters Card (PVC), which is to commence in earnest.

The GDI Coordinator, Okrika LGA chapter and Chief Of Staff, Okrika LGA, Hon. Okpara Daka presided over the meeting and intimated all member of GDI Okrika LGA chapter to prepare for this onerous task as the onus for this drive fall within their purvey.

Hon. Okpara Daka while addressing the GDI ward coordinators, reiterated that adequate preparation and developing mechanism and framework to enable this campaign penetrate all units in their various wards is key, noting that GDI draws it’s strength and capacity from the grassroot.

The GDI Coordinator also stressed on the forthcoming elections and encourages the ward oordinators to use this exercise to embark on an extensive indepth campaign that will metamorphose into election victory for all PDP candidates.

The Executive Chairman, Okrika LGA, Hon. Akuro Tobin JP, who is one of the foundation member of GDI in the LGA graced the meeting as a special guest and admonished GDI leadership both at the LGA and wards levels to rise up to the occasion of it’s thematic focus with the view of infusing cardinal to the successful attainment of this exercise.

The Council Boss further stated that there is need for GDI Okrika LGA to facilitate constructive engagement and synergy with the party (PDP Okrika LGA) hierarchy to make this exercise successful come 3rd of August, 2022, noting that collaboration and cooperation is key in strengthening the party through this exercise.

The meeting also had in attendance, Hon. Engr. Fred Ajubolaka Oba, Chairman PDP Okrika LGA, Rt. Hon. Paul Abam, Leader of the Legislative Assembly, Hon. Vincent Ferguson, SA to the Chairman, Hon. Barr. Tonye Wilson, SA legal, amongst others.
