Grand Funeral: CEO Castle Majestic Hotel Enugu Buries Mum in Style

The people of Akpugo, Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State witnessed a great influx of personalities as the CEO of Castle Majestic Hotel, Enugu, High Chief Friday Edeh (Egbevumbe) laid his mother, Late Mrs. Chinwe Elizabeth Edeh to rest at Obuno, Akpugo, on Wednesday 10th of January, 2024.

Pastor Cosmas Edeh, the first son read the biography of the great woman who was born in 1948. She was a mother of 8, known for being peaceful and kind to others. Fondly called ‘Mummy Deeper Life’, she served the Lord till she recently passed on the 15th of October, 2023 at the age of 75.

The funeral service spearheaded by the Deeper Life Bible Church was held at Akpugo Boys Secondary School field in Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State and had the daughter in-law, pastors, neighbours and a lot of persons speaking well of the deceased.

At the funeral service, Pst. Prof. Leonard C. Anigbo of Deeper Life Bible Mission Church spoke on issues surrounding death, repentance and faith in God.

Traditional and Political leaders, business moguls and entertainers graced the remarkable funeral, including Senator representing Enugu East Senatorial Zone, Sen. Kelvin Chukwu, member representing Nkanu West/Nkanu East Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Nnolim Nnaji, member representing Enugu North and South Fed. Constituency at the house of Reps, Hon Chimaobi Sam Atu.

Other top dignitaries at the event include, Prof. Bart Nnaji, Chief Capt. Evarest Nnaji, Odengene, Sir. Chinyeaka Ohaa, Sen. Gilbert Nnaji, Rt. Hon. Offor Chukwuegbo, High Chief Chukwudi Nnaji (Onwa Igwurubeze), Hon. Chijioke Oscar Ngene Deputy Mayor, Nkanu West LGA, Hon. Solomon Onah (Jack Solo), member representing Udenu State Constituency, Hon. Barr. Childi Aroh, Chief Donald Ekete, and several others.

Speaking to Scorecard media, the CEO, Home crown freight and logistics limited, His Excellency Ogbu Kenneth Amarachi said that the successful burial shows that FACO has grace, “to have been able to bury one of his parents”. In his sincere condolences, he prayed for longer life to the rest of the family.

Chief Urukanachukwu prayed for God’s comfort over the family and for his good friend FACO to keep being a great man.

Nigerian sensational musical artiste, Slowdog described FACO as ‘God Sent’, saying that a Child is supposed to bury his parent and not the other way round. “Accept our condolences he said”.

Survived by her husband, Mr. Micheal Edeh, 5 daughter in-laws, son in-laws , 23 grand children and a host of other relations, Mrs Elizabeth was a good woman.

Several musical groups including Oliver De Coque’s Son, Safin De Coque (Darlington Akanite) serenaded the audience with melodious tunes as the people bid farewell to a great woman.

It was truly a celebration of life at the funeral as the people thanked God for her impactful life as a genuine christian, daughter, wife and business woman.
