It was an interesting and fulfilled dinner as Enugu State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s Special Assistants on youths, students’ affairs, Comrade Ogechukwu Nnamene and Hon. Comrade Chidi Ilogebe respectively, hosted Enugu youths and students leaders in an end of year dinner in Nondon hotel Enugu, recently.
Governor Ugwuanyi who was represented by the Honourable Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Hon. Joseph Udedi commended the students and youths leaders for working alongside the state government in keeping Enugu peaceful and promised to continue working with the youths and students in Enugu State.
In his welcome address, Comr. Ilogebe who welcomed everyone and emphasized the importance of coming together under one platform to celebrate Enugu as a peaceful state. He however thanked the Governor for seeing him worthy to serve in his administration. Also in attendance was the General Manager, Enugu State Housing Development Corporation – Hon. Chief. Engr. Chuks Agu; Enugu State House of Assembly member, Hon. Barr. Chima Obieze, who appreciated the emergence of youths as Special Assistants to the Governor on youth and students affairs for the first time in Enugu, he promised that the end of the year dinner will be an annual event.
The event also had in attendance, Hon. Emeka Asogwa, Special Adviser to the governor on Empowerment and Human Capital Development; Hon Jonathan Emmanuel; Don Sylvester Nweke – the CEO of Don Sylvester Records and Foundation; Humphrey Onyima – the Publisher/ CEO Leadership Scorecard Magazine; Hon. Paschal – the Chairman of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Enugu State chapter, other NYCN, NANS, Ohaneze youths officials, both past and present.
There were side attractions of music, comedy, foods and drinks, everyone had fun. The students/youths leaders endorsed Governor Ugwuanyi as their candidate in the forthcoming 2019 gubernatorial election in Enugu State.
