The Governor of Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, on Friday appointed reality TV star, Whitemoney, as the state’s creative arts ambassador.
This was announced in a statement on Friday titled, “Gov Ugwuanyi receives Whitemoney, confers him with ‘Ambassador of Enugu State in Creative Arts’.”
The Governor on Friday played host to the winner of the Big Brother Naija Shine Ya Eye season, Hazel Oyeze, popularly known as Whitemoney, at the Banquet Hall of the Government House, Enugu.
Ugwuanyi, during the reception, stated that Whitemoney’s humility, godliness and “consistency with the Enugu spirit”, endeared him to his fellow housemates and the viewing public.
Conferring the ambassadorial title on Whitemoney, Ugwuanyi said, “I, therefore, call on the teeming Enugu youths to deploy their creative talents and skills to win more laurels for the state”.
The Governor said Whitemoney was “most deserving” of the position, adding, “We are very proud of you and wish you many more successes”.
Appreciating Ugwuanyi for the honour and warm reception, Whitemoney added that God’s grace has abundantly located him.
“Thank you so much Your Excellency; Daddy, I am grateful and I promise to serve this state with all my heart; with my best capacity to do what is right for the Enugu youth empowerment and growth of the community at large,” Whitemoney said.
Fellow BBNaija ex-housemates, Niyi Lawala and Emmanuel Umoh, accompanied Whitemoney on his visit to the State House.
Present at the event were the Deputy Governor of Enugu State, Cecilia Ezeilo; the Secretary to the State Government and Director General of South East Governors’ Forum, Simon Ortuanya; Chief of Staff to the Governor, Festus Uzor; and other members of the State Executive Council.
