Recall that there had been lots of speculations that the former president, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan had allegedly defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
A top member of the All Progressives Congress had earlier stated that the former president, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan was being considered to run alongside Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-rufai in the forthcoming 2023 presidential election.
Amidst the speculations, former president, Goodluck Jonathan has debunked the reports of his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC). He categorically stated that he is still a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
DAILY POST reports that Goodluck Jonathan had made the exposition at the supreme court victory/ thanksgiving service held in Bayelsa State on Sunday, 14th February 2021.
He had also described the Peoples Democratic Party as a friendly party whom he’s part and parcel of.
