There is, today, rousing excitement among officers of the Nigeria Police Force, Nsukka Divisional Command, as the indefatigable People’s Mayor, Hon. Dr. Barr. Walter Ozioko, the Executive Chairman of Nsukka LGA, carries his ‘work, work and more work agenda’ to the ageless command, beginning the total overhaul of a section of the ageless police station.
This is following a clarion call let out by the command concerning the shoddy state of some office buildings within the station.
And, a man with listening ears, the People’s Mayor has joined one of the very few Executive Chairmen who would extend infrastructural intervention to the police station which has suffered dearth of care over the years.
Since emerging Nsukka LGA’s No. 1, Hon. Dr. Barr. Walter Ozioko has shown absolute sincerity of purpose, determination and dedication to the security of lives and property of his people. Placing superlative premium on that, he has, so far, upped the spirit and morale of the Nsukka LGA security apparatchik with a number of interventions.
Yet, the ongoing renovation will go a long way in further bringing out the best from the police.
You may wish to be reminded that the People’s Mayor, upon emergence as Chairman, revamped all security vehicles in the Council and has consistently kept the officers of Nsukka Neighborhood Watch formation in high spirits with regular payment of their remuneration among other things.
