ENUGU WAEC GRADUANDS CELEBRATE AGAINST ODDS

Despite failing national security, which forced the federal govt to throw it’s hands up in the air in Abuja , mandating all schools in the supposed seat of power of the nation to close abruptly for fear of bandits, the POST PRIMARY SCHOOL MANAGEMENT BOARD, ENUGU under the chairmanship of a dynamic, resourceful achiever Dr Mrs Favor Adaeze Ugwuanyi, mni hosted the first ever WAEC GRADUANDS PARTY in Enugu.

Over 5000 teenagers who had successfully written their WAEC /NECO exams thronged the newly constructed GOV UGWUANYI CONFERENCE HALL. This conference hall is an initiative of Dr Mrs Favor Ugwuanyi,mni to create a unique PPSMB conference hall that will serve as first ever students parliament for robust school debates, quiz, science exhibition and teachers conference center. The teenagers came in their numbers to celebrate themselves and receive motivation to prepare for the next phase of life.

The celebration was tagged STRENGTH FOR A NEW SEASON. The young people enjoyed teen friendly music, lots of good food and some drama. There were talks to prepare minds of the teenagers to avoid illegal drugs, social vices and make wise, informed decisions

His Lordship Bishop Nwoye Chinedu spoke extensively on the KNOWLEDGE ECONOMY to disabuse the minds of youths on the slogan SCHOOL IS SCAM

The wife of gov ugwuanyi was received with thunderous shouts of mummy Surprise Surprise. The GRADUANDS capped up the occasion by enumeration of the achievement of gov ugwuanyi in the education sector.

Below are some of the development strides of gov ugwuanyi in the secondary school system of ENUGU

  1. The Renovations and reconstructions of more than 250 Secondary School Classroom Blocks across the State
  2. The introduction of E- Library in all schools to prepare for UTME popularly known as Jamb
  3. The provision of Instructional materials for schools thereby making Teaching and Learning palatable
  4. The Supply Laboratory equipment in schools
  5. Prompt payment of Teachers Salary.
  6. The release of the Arrears of 2013 ,2014 & 2015 promotions , thereby motivating the Teachers to do more.
  7. The approval of the Regularization of the Volunteer Teachers to become permanent Teachers
  8. The construction of the PPSMB Clinic, Gym
    Centre, Staff Canteen and above all the RT HON IFEANYI UGWUANYI,s Conference Hall
  9. The Renovation of PPSMB HQTRS Enugu
  10. The approval and support of the ONGOING INTENSE TEACHER SUPERVISION EXERCISE to weed out defaulting teachers.
  11. The construction and equipping of PPSMB Skill Acquisition Centre and also the approval of ONE STUDENT ONE SKILL PROGRAM. This is the first of its kind to equip teenagers with entrepreneurship skills.
  12. The Introduction of The Use of Psychometric Test Approach in the Choice of Course.
  13. The Training and Retraining of the Staff of the Board by the Apex Training Body in Nigeria, NIPSS.
  14. The choice of Dr Mrs Favor Ugwuanyi as board chairman after intensive leadership training at NIPSS to add to her years of experience as permanent secretary of PPSMB
  15. Installation of CCTV camera in select schools and deployment of armed security to schools to prevent security challenges

Many Gifted but Indigent students celebrate Dr Mrs Favor Ugwuanyi for free WAEC registration package for some students and also attracting scholarship programs for over 250 students that put smiles in faces of many that never had hope of going to university because of poverty of their parents.

The new GRADUANDS will be enrolled into the Skill Fest program starting August 23, 2022 to keep them busy learning various skills while waiting for the results and admissions into tertiary institutions

Arch Bishop CNC onyeledo, chairman pentecostal fellowship of NIGERIA, Enugu state chapter sealed the program with fatherly prayers to all the GRADUANDS

Finally, the young GRADUANDS who will be turning 18 in September/october asked for extension of continuous voter registration to enable get PVC.

They said in other regions , unpatriotic people register underaged to get PVC but in the south east they wait to get to 18 so as to qualify
