Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC) have been commended for due diligence and strict compliance with the provisions of (ENSIEC) Law and the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 as the Commission is set to conduct elections in the 17 LGA of the State.
According to an Enugu based Lawyer, Henry Nnanna Okeke, Esq.
“ENSIEC have provided a level play ground for all political parties and their candidates to participate fully and freely in the February 29, 2020 Enugu Local Government Council Polls.”
The erudite Lawyer also applauded the State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the leader of the Party in the State, His Excellency Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for the robust consultative approach adopted for a successful party primaries.
Barr. Okeke noted that “This is the first time our people are involved in the process of choosing their council chairmen, it’s a new dawn for our democracy.”
As electioneering campaign intensify in the 17 LGA of Enugu State, Barr. Okeke who is an illustrious son of Awgu LGA, a former Special Assistant to Governor Ugwuanyi and one time Sector Legal Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps declared his support for the PDP Candidate in Awgu LGA , Chief Pedro Okwudili Nwankwo and his running mate Barr. Lotanna Ogbonna as the “Pedro 2020” campaign team visits the 11 electoral Wards in Awgu LGA.
