COVlD 19 PANDEMlC :UGWUANYI CARRlES PALLlATlVES TO WlDOWS AT THE COMMUNlTlES.
Governor lfeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State in collaboration with the VSF under T.Y.Danjuma have in continuation of their unflinching commitment towards mitigating the plights of indegent people in this era of Corona virus pandemic have taken assorted food stuff to widows of local government area s in Enugu State.The distribution which commenced last week in the five local government areas of Enugu West Senatorial Zone on Monday and Tuesday this week moved to Enugu East Senatorial Zone where one hundred widows from each of the local government visited benefited from the kind gesture.
Speaking today at Agbani the Local Government Headquarters of Nkanu West Local Government,the Deputy Governor of Enugu State, Honourable Mrs Cecilia Ezeilo stated that the Lauderdale effort was born out of Governor Ifeanyi’s passion in assisting the indegent especially widows in this difficult time of the nation’s history. Mrs Ezeilo who was represented by the member representing Enugu South in the State House of Assembly, Honourable Sam Ngene maintained that’Our Governor, His Exellency Right Honourable lfeanyi Ugwuanyi is a leader that cares for his people,that is why VSF of T.Y. Danjuma brought fifty bags of these items that contain rice,beans, tomatoes,oil, noodles,salt and Our Governor brought fifty to enable them reach one hundred widows for each local government’.
He urged the people to make proper use of the items and always abide by all the rules and regulations guarding against the spread of the virus.ln their separate speeches the Chair man of Nkanu West Honourable Nwabueze Nnamani,that of Nkanu East, Honourable Uche Nwobodo and the Enugu South Counterpart, Honourable Morning Eneh applauded the leadership style of Governor Ugwuanyi and prayed for God’s continued blessings on him.Other members of the team that followed on the distribution visits include the State Commissioner for gender and social development, Honourable Princess Peace Nnaji,the SPA to the Governor on agriculture, Honourable Mike Ogbuekwe among others.lt will be recalled that the Committee Members had earlier visited Udi, Ezeagu,Awgu,Ani nri,Oji River,lsi uzo,Enugu East and Enugu North Local Government Areas for the sharing of the palliatives to widows.
