As politicians buckle up for the politics of succession and the fight for which zone produces the next Governor, it is not surprising to see a lot of propaganda and uncanny sabotage against Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State by some political players solely to score cheap political goals.
A youth stakeholder and leadership advocate, Comrade Abah Joe Idenyi from Ette, says that, no amount of campaign of calumny or hate speech will stop Gov. Ugwuanyi from extending his goodwill and demonstrating his commitment to the well-being of Ndi Enugu.
Reacting to a sponsored media criticisms, Comrade Abah Joe told Newsmen in Enugu recently that “Gov. Ugwuanyi has done a lot to deserve commendation by all, especially the common masses whom he continues daily to work in their best interest.”
“No matter the campaign of calumny or hate speech against Ugwuanyi, what matters most is how he has continued to make positive impacts on the people and his commitment to the well-being of the state through massive infrastructural development”.
According to Abah Joe, “within just one term of of Gov. Ugwuanyi’s administration, a lot of legacy projects were initiated like the Enugu State University of Education in Awgu, the Miliken Hill road in Ngwo, Opi Nsukka dual carriage road, Igbo-Ano Specialist hospital and permanent site of ESUT college of Medicine amongst others.”
“It is part of history that in the face of scary economic challenges in the country, the Governor has made regular payment of workers’ salaries a priority and even pays a bonus of 13th month.”
He pointed out that the governor has sacrificed a lot in providing good governance across the state and should be celebrated and appreciated.
He called on critics and their sponsors to shield their swords and join hands with the Governor to build a better Enugu State of our collective dream.
Comr. Abah Joe said that he is convinced that the Governor’s forest guard initiative will put a stop to the recent security challenges in some parts of the state and urged the good people of the state to continue to appreciate the efforts of the Governor.
