Bandits on Friday afternoon have blocked the Kaduna-Abuja express road between Jere and Katare communities.
There was sporadic shooting as the bandits suspected to be Fulani armed Militia that are operating in Minna forest abducts many passengers.
There are fears of heavy casualties including deaths as the bandits operated freely without the intervention of soldiers that were deployed to the troubled road to contain incessant attacks.
Friday’s surprised attack have took many commuters unaware as more motorists have begun to use the road due to drastic reduction of attacks on the busy road recently. As it is, the assurances by government about restoring safety in the highly unsecured has been put to question.
Just early this week angry youths have barricaded the Abuja-Kaduna in anger over recent kidnapping of about 30 people.
Motorists coming from Kaduna and those from Abuja are making a return to where they were coming from amid the pandemonium.
