As the race to represent the people of Enugu East in the Senate of the National Assembly, a royal in the senatorial district has thrown his hat in the ring to lead his people.

The Prince of Mbuburu, Engr. Lawrence Ezeh has had enough of poor representation for his people and, after years of consulting, is finally willing to vie for the seat to represent the people in the highest law-making chamber in the land.

Ezeh, who has long stood for his people, told LEADERSHIP Scorecard that no one can doubt his pedigree and his ability to change the state of things in Enugu East.

“Long before I made up my mind to get in there and change things, I have been instrumental to development in the community,” he said.

The aspirant who is also one of the staunch supporters of the incumbent state governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, is a stalwart of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state and has pledged that, whether he emerges victorious or not, he would give his all to ensure that Ugwuanyi re-emerges governor to “continue his great work in the state.”

Prince Ezeh who is known for his humane disposition to people generally promises to provide social services to women and youths in the zone.

“We have given scholarships to secondary school students, constructed roads, connected areas in this kingdom to the national grid via rural electrification project, if I get elected, I will give the people more than my fair share of attention and it will be serious business of development,” he said.

Inspite of Ezeh’s good work and his unwavering commitment to the party, he would still have to thump other contestants for the position on the party’s ticket to get the sole nod to go head-to-head with others come 2019.
