It has been proven time and time again that the only path to true human development and liberation is the decision of a leader to transform the lives of others – by repositioning and restructuring of the leadership spectrum through an all-inclusive participation in governance.
Naturally, when a great leader emerges, the forces that beset mankind stand still and the people in turn respond with an inexplicable jubilation over the arrival of a unique and uncommon being.
Having meticulously x-rayed the exemplary leadership qualities, peaceful disposition and maturity in handling public matters by Hon. Pedro Okwudili Nwankwo, I hereby resolve to work for Pedro and to go any length with him, not minding whose ox is gored.
In terms of social contracts, the question for power determines the principles in the bargain, and the truth that makes men free is the same truth that some may not want to hear. The question is, who do we make captain of the ship for Awgu LGA of Enugu State; the most popular man or the one that understands the art of navigation?
Truly, in the deepest recesses of my heart and masterly survey, Hon. Pedro’s socio-political pedigree offers comfort and assurance to the good people of Ndi Awgu.
In view of the above, solidarity for Pedro should now be a clarion call, having seen and understood that he is the man that understands this art of navigation as it stands presently.
The good people of Awgu LGA do not need a weatherman to tell them which way the wind blows. We can indeed become the architects of our fate when we take hold of and utilize this leadership opportunity.
Let the good people of Awgu LGA enthusiastically visualise the New Face of Awgu with Hon. Pedro Okwudili Nwankwo as the Council Chairman; a new Face of Awgu where everyone, irrespective of social status, is equal before the law.
I am talking about the new face of Awgu where political opponents shall be tolerated as friends with different political views and not as enemies; a new Awgu in which there would be mutual respect for one another, in spite of our different socio-cultural groupings; a new Awgu where we shall celebrate fulfillment of campaign promises and reap huge democratic dividends; a new Awgu where provisions of basic social amenities shall no longer be seen as privileges but as rights; a new Awgu where our inter-community roads would be at least motorable; a new Awgu where our rural electrification project would be adequately addressed, the new Awgu that would provide adequate primary healthcare by revamping the moribund health centres; a new Awgu that will encourage agriculture for local food production; a new Awgu that will work towards improving our education sector; a new Awgu LGA that will empower our youths, rural women and strengthen our neighborhood security watch and forest guards for a proactive, effective and efficient community policing; a new Awgu where our legal aid centre shall be pro-active, vibrant and committed to the rule of law by all ramifications; a new Awgu where mind-boggling looting of public treasury shall be mitigated.
Once again, a New Face of Awgu LGA is possible in the Hands of God, with Hon. Pedro Okwudili Nwankwo as the Council Chairman come February 29th, 2020.
