A delegation of members of Nsukka Women Forum for Gburugburu on Saturday 9th July, 2022 paid a solidarity visit to the PDP candidate for member House of Representative, Nsukka/Igbo-Eze South Federal Constituency, Chief Engr. Vita Abba OON (Onwa).
In her speech, the leader of the group, who also is the Supervisor for Education, Nsukka LGA, Hon. Mrs. Chinenye Arua JP, thanked God for the emergence of Engr. Vita Abba in the PDP HoR primary election for Nsukka/Igbo-Eze South Federal Constituency. She described Engr. Abba as a trusted and reliable leader, with a track record of goodwill for his people. She informed that they came to identify with him and also assure him of their support in the forthcoming 2023 general election. She noted that the group has deep rooted structures in all the 20 wards in Nsukka LGA and that they are totally committed to PDP and will be working to deliver all the candidates of PDP from top to bottom. She then went on to present a Holy Bible and a Holy Rosary to Engr. Abba, stressing that the word of God and Prayer are key to everything in life and assured him that they will as a group, continue to uphold him in their prayers!
Engr. Abba in his response, thanked the group for their thoughtfulness and appreciated them for the gifts presented to him, which he described as the weapon of warfare. He assured them that they will be needed to play significant role during the party campaign for the 2023 elections.
He further encouraged them to equip themselves with their PVCs and also stressed the need for them to work even more for Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi whom he described as a kindhearted man and a man of peace, to enable him (Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi) emerge victorious as the next Senator of Enugu North Senatorial District.
