Construction of the 5000-seat capacity Township Stadium at Nsukka in Enugu State, by Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s administration, to encourage grassroots sports development reaches over 90% completion with the successful installation of AstroTurf, Tartan Tracks and Seats.
The installation of flood lighting and other associated works at the Nsukka Township Stadium is ongoing while construction of the Oji River Township Stadium in Oji River LGA of the state is captured in the 2022 budget proposal recently presented to the Enugu State House of Assembly by the sports loving, development oriented and youth friendly governor.
