A youth group from the Enugu East senatorial Zone; Nkanu Youth Assembly led by Comr.Edeani M. Edeani has rolled out relief items and palliative to be distributed to the needy and indigent ones amongst them.
This relief items which includes over 100 bags of 10kg rice, over 150 cartons of Indomie and over 200 tubers of yam were distributed today the 25th of April, 2020 in the Enugu South Local Government Headquarters.
Present to witness the distribution were executives of the Nkanu Youth Assembly, the Chaiman and members of her Advisory board, the traditional ruler of Obeagu Amaechi, HRH Igwe Linus Okafor who doubles as the Patron NYA Enugu South, the Chairman of Enugu state Youth Council; Comr. Pascal Ugwu, the President of Ohaneze Ndigbo youths worldwide Enugu state chapter; Wenceslaus Ogbonna, the SA to the Executive Governor Hon. Ilogebe Chidi, former SA to the Executive Governor on youths; Hön. Ogechukwu Nnamene amongst others.
These items were shared equally amongst the Cordinators of the six LGAs that makes up the Zone for onward distribution in their various LGs.
Speaking to the press, Comrade Edeani the president of the assembly acknowledged that the gesture is to support the efforts of His Excellency the Governor in this period of economic crunch to ensure that both the youths and every other affected person has food to eat in this period of lockdown.
The President further commended the Governor for being proactive in tackling the pandemic in the state while reiterating the support of Nkanu youths to his administration.
They also thanked their patrons and their Grand Patron His Excellency, Sen Ken Nnamani for the support to the Youth Assembly.
