At the Great Hall of the People, Beijing, President Xi Jinping, and I witnessed the signing of 20 trade agreements and Memorandums of Understanding to promote various sectors of our economy, aligning with our Belt and Road Initiative cooperation.
Our Chinese partners will invest significant resources to improve our road infrastructure, education, health, agriculture, blue economy, green energy, and ICT sectors, among others.
These commitments are further evidence of China’s resolute support to our efforts to grow our economy, create jobs for our youth, and unlock the untapped resources of our great nation.
On diplomacy, President Xi and I agreed to continue promoting unity and cooperation among the Global South and enhancing its voice in international fora.
We will also continue to champion for the strengthening and reformation of the UN systems, in particular the Security Council, to be more representative and responsive to the present realities.
