The FCT minister and former governor of Rivers state, Chief Barrister Nyesom Wike has defended his actions that contributed to the victorious emergence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2023 presidential election. In a live chat with media team, Wike claimed Peter Obi is a mere social media politician who is ignorant of the real game on the ground.
“You people like this social media candidate. I don’t do social media politics. In politics, you sit down to analyze the person that can win election, not just the best candidate,” Wike said.
According to Wike, Tinubu is a master in Nigeria politics who won election even without the help of the sitting president, Muhammadu Buhari. In addition, the FCT Minister stated that God was on Tinubu’s side, and that Tinubu understood the game, reasons he won the election with wide a margin.
Wike also reaffirmed his commitment to work for President Tinubu in the coming 2027 presidential election.
