Integrated Movement for Positive Change (IMPC) Calls for Peace Ahead of 2019 – By Chioma Odobu

    The Integrated Movement for Positive Change (IMPC) held a press conference yesterday 13th November, 2018 at Wuse 2, Abuja. It is a call for Nigerians to embrace and support peace before, during and after 2019 elections. IMPC is a support group for Atiku/Obi 2019 under the umbrella of PDP. They sensitize Nigerians all over the country to love peace and to admonish one another to achieve peace and unity in Nigeria.

    Philip Ameh- the National Coordinator of the group was present at the press briefing, Suru Elijah- Deputy National Coordinator, Mohammed Lawal Sani- National Secretary, Hajia Marian Mohammed- Women Leader, Ugwu Florence Choka- National Publicity Secretary, Chief Mrs China Nwoyeocha- Coordinator Anambra State and Prince Lucas Ibe- Coordinator Imo State, were all in attendance.

    Mohammed Lawal Sani – Secretary of the group addressed the press saying that the members of the group cut across different ethnic and religious affiliation and are passionate about a peaceful and prosperous Nigeria in order to end the crisis and religious conflict that has taken over the country. He continued by emphasizing on the fact that peace is a unique element that enhances national development all over the world and a firm conviction that admonishing one another to support peaceful coexistence every now and then has the propensity of ensuring everlasting peace and unity in Nigeria. Furthermore, he encouraged everyone to conduct themselves in a manner that will not undermine peaceful coexistence and advised the youths to shun violence and should not allow themselves to be used as instruments of destruction and disruptions. Finally, he encouraged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct free, fair and credible elections.
