Gov. Ugwuanyi Sets To Engage, Empower Students Through Campus Tour – By Humphrey Onyima

In line with global best practices in ethical re-orientation of youths and students, the Enugu State Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s Campus-2-Campus (C2C) initiative has concluded arrangement to embark on massive sensitization/campaign amongst students of Enugu state aimed at re-enforcing the core values of dignity, discipline and acceptable moral ethics to pursue true development in the campuses and Enugu state at large.

This was disclosed to Leadership SCORECARD by the Special Assistant to the Governor of Enugu State on Student Affairs, Comrade Chidi Henry Ilogebe recently in Enugu.

Ilogebe noted that the Governor Ugwuanyi’s C-2-C Initiative, otherwise known as GBURUGBURU CAMPUS TOUR shall be achieved in an atmosphere of Peace, Freedom and Justice; reaffirming the endless benefits of peaceful behaviour in the process of individual and collective development; bringing to the front burner the indisputable facts that youths and students are mostly the tools and victims of electoral violence and ways to avoid it.

He averred that the Initiative will also draw a line in socio-political participation that distinguishes peaceful – patriotic participation as against desperate – violence participation; admonishing the Students Union Leaders of Enugu State to remain constantly consistent on the students advocacy towards the consolidation of the gains of Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s led administration in the education sector.

He however explained that the initiative will interact with students-students’, leaders-students’ influences and opinion shapers to know their thoughts on the developmental strides and policy statements of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Gburugburu) in Enugu state with special attention to the educational sector and ultimately help students make suggestions on how the government can serve them better.
