The Igbo socio-political group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, says the outcome of the presidential primaries of the two major parties was gross injustice against the South-East.
The President-General of the group, Prof George Obiozor, made this known in a statement titled, “What does Nigeria want from Ndigbo?,” released by the spokesman of the group, Alex Ogbonnia, on Saturday.
Obiozor was reacting to the outcome of the presidential primaries conducted by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Recall that former Lagos State Governor, Bola Tinubu emerged as the presidential candidate of the APC, and former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar emerged as the PDP presidential candidate.
Obiozor described the outcome of the presidential primaries of the two major parties as gross injustice against the Igbo beyond expectations.
He accused the country’s political elite to have successfully orchestrated to deny the South-East an opportunity to produce the president of Nigeria come 2023.
Obiozor urged Ndigbo not to lament much about the failure of the South East to produce the next President but wait for the verdict of history.
