…Says governor’s humility an inspiration to youths
…Stresses that Uguwanyi’s achievements with limited resources are outstanding, visible
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SPD (Saving People Daily) Group, an establishment that is into entertainment and empowerment of youths, including the needy and underprivileged members of the society in Nsukka in particular and Enugu State in general, Dr. Williams David Uchenna Obetta, has described the humility of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, who is the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Enugu North Senatorial District in the forthcoming general election, as a source of inspiration to him and others who have come in contact with the governor, especially the young people.
Dr. Obetta popularly known on social media as “DWilliams Uchenna” stated that Governor Ugwuanyi’s developmental strides in Enugu State, particularly in Enugu North Senatorial District with the lean resources at his disposal occasioned by the nation’s economic, security and public health challenges, are outstanding, “crystal clear, very visible to the blind and audible to the deaf.”
The philanthropist, entrepreneur and leading figure in the entertainment industry, declared that Governor Ugwuanyi will be victorious in the forthcoming senatorial election, stressing that anybody who is undermining the governor’s achievements “is either you are blind or a sadist.”
Dr. Obetta who spoke when he and his associates, friends and teeming supporters hosted Governor Ugwuanyi during his housewarming outing in Nsukka on Saturday said: “Let us be honest with ourselves, even with the little resources at his disposal, after the COVID-19, he (Ugwuanyi) was still able to sustain his laudable developmental programmes. This is a very big thumbs up to him because it is not everybody that can do what he was able to do with the little resources at his disposal.
“Many people don’t know this. He (Ugwuanyi) was able to do a lot of things. We now have a new medical university in Nsukka land (The State University of Medical and Applied Sciences, SUMAS, Igbo-Eno, Enugu State). So, let’s call a spade a spade. In less than two weeks we shall be singing your victory songs because you will be elected as our Senator.”
Expressing dismay at those who play politics of mischief, falsehood, and campaign of calumny in a failed attempt to undermine the good works of the governor and mislead members of the public, the CEO of SPD Group urged the people “not to be brainwashed by anybody because what he (Ugwuanyi) has done is crystal clear, very visible to the blind and audible to the deaf.”
Speaking further on Governor Ugwuanyi’s humility and other leadership qualities, Dr. Obetta disclosed: “I want to use this opportunity to talk about our governor, a good man. This is a man that I have known for some time now. Unfortunately, when you are from afar looking at him, you wouldn’t know the type of person he is. This is a very humble man.
“When you are with him you wouldn’t even know he is a governor. You will be asking yourself is this a governor of Enugu State. You will be saying he is the governor’s representative. But when you ask question again you will know he is the governor.
“His humility is an inspiration not only to me but to everyone that is around him. I have never seen a more humble person than him in my life and little wonder why he is this successful; little wonder why he has got to the pinnacle of politics; little wonder why he has risen to the peak of life.
“Humility is the bedrock of success. When you are humble you should be rest assured that success definitely will be the end point. And so I have taken a lot of lessons from you my governor. The little time I have spent with you, I cherish it so much.
“I told you the last time we saw that you are an inspiration to me. And I want to say it before everyone here, this man here is an inspiration to me and not just to me, but to many young people, to many youths, to the Enugu State youths and beyond.
“And I want to use this opportunity to call on everyone here that when the time comes (general election), two weeks from now, you will see how he will be delivered at the poll. There is no need for long talk.”
